Hetty's currently operates a once a week dispatch system to make sure plant orders are delivered successfully by the weekend. For garlic only orders we may dispatch more frequently.*** HETTY'S NEXT DISPATCH DAY FOR ORDERS PLACED TODAY IS WEDNESDAY 9th January 2019***
We dispatch orders placed before 9am on a Friday on the following Wednesday and orders received after 9am on a Friday will be dispatched a week on Wednesday. We will send you an email to advise of the expected date of dispatch. Apart from garlic only orders which we usually dispatch more frequently and will just send an email to confirm dispatch.
Each week on Tuesday the plants to complete orders are selected from the nursery, packaged and dispatched on Wednesday afternoon usually via a Parcel Force 24 hour service. With plants delivered to you on Thursday ready for you to start taking care of your plants over the weekend! ParcelForce will send you and email and/or SMS messages to let you know how your order is tracking and the expected delivery time. Please note you can also view the status of your order if you have registered a Hetty's account, not if you have shopped as a guest.
It is important someone is at your delivery address on the Thursday to take delivery, whilst we use a 24 hour service this isn’t guaranteed. If you are not available to take delivery your order will be left with a neighbour unless you give alternative instructions to us or directly to ParcelForce once your plants have been dispatched.
Many plants are 'ready now' and available to dispatch in the current dispatch cycle whilst other plants can be 'pre-ordered' to be be delivered in a few weeks. If your order is a mixture of 'ready now' and 'pre-order' plants then your complete order will be sent out to you once all the plants are available. Hetty can split orders by request, this will cost an extra delivery charge, Hetty may at her discretion sometimes chose to split an order for no additional charge.
The greatest of care will be given to ensure plants arrive fresh and there is no damage during transportation. Plants will arrive wrapped in newspaper, with straw used to help protect the plants inside the box. Each potted herb will have a bespoke colour care card. On the back of each card are a few bullet points of information, care instructions and positioning tips.
Delivery is charged for all mainland UK addresses at £5.00 or £2.00 for orders of only seeds including garlic. Delivery is free for all orders over £40.
We can deliver to anywhere in the UK, however addresses outside of mainland Great Britain may incur an additional cost which can be calculated in your basket and at checkout. Please note that we are unable to offer delivery to the Channel Islands or to any address outside of the UK at the present time.
