Buying from Hetty’s supports charity

At Hetty’s we are keen to give something back and encourage all things wildlife and nature, so are pleased to be able to share with you that 2% of every purchase you make from the website will be donated to a charity.

From our launch in 2018 we have collected a percentage of all website sales and will continue to do so.  Hetty’s Herbs & Plants use the purchase price before VAT and delivery (where applicable) when calculating the donation due.  This will then be passed over to charities by way of monetary, equipment or plant donations.

Charities we have and are supporting include the British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS). We approached the BHPS as the decline and plight of hedgehogs over recent years is of real concern and we are impressed with their aims along with the work they do. To help hedgehogs on a local level to us we have supported charities and reputable organisations facilitate the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of wild hedgehogs. We have supplied incubators , rehalitation cages even a microscope for identifying parasites. For example we have previously supplied Peterborough Hedgehog Hotel (PHH) with incubators. It is also lovely to be able to donate herbs and wildflowers to charities, schools and local organisations – to help inspire and educate the next generation.  In 2025 we have provided herbs and wildflowers for a garden ‘Cultivating Connections’ at Gardener’s World Live. After the show all the plants will be relocated, by Jade the garden designer, to local schools for gardening clubs, with planting lessons for the kids being provided.

Up The Garden Bath a non profit making social enterprise in Cambridgeshire take unwanted items such as bathtubs and up-cycle them into garden planters. The “Pollen Paradise” bathtub being planted with loved by pollinator plants. Up The Garden Bath works in coordination with primary schools, early years services and youth organisations in the region to adopt a positive approach towards recycling, gardening, healthy eating and nutrition.
