“Meet the owner of Hetty’s Herbs, Liz“ 🌿 We sat down with Liz, to learn more about her, what her interests are and how Hetty’s Herbs came to life!Here are a few of the questions we asked 👇🏻”💬 What inspired you to start Hetty’s Herbs?- With the family nursery being wholesale, it only sells direct to Garden Centres. Many people aren’t near to a garden centre and even if they are, Garden Centres can only offer a small range of what we can offer. So we thought having a website to be able to offer all the varieties directly to people was a good idea. 💬 What do you enjoy most about working at Hetty’s Herbs?- The shows! The Rutland Flower Show was the first 3 day show we had been at. Was lovely meeting so many people - especially children and seeing their enjoyment of finding new herb varieties… sniffing and tasting them. 💬 What do you like most about living in the Fens and what bought you here?- I love the huge open skies, weather watching and the sunsets and sunrises! They’re stunning! Being closer to family bought me here after being overseas for many years. 💬 How do you like to spend your weekends or days off?- Taking the dogs over to Bourne Woods or if there’s more time, the coast for walks! I also do Flyball with my dogs Maisie and Coco which we all love, so there is often training and competitions to go to. 💬 What is your go to favourite food?- This is a difficult one as there is so much food I love. Favourites would be prawns in garlic butter or pan fried salmon! And lastly…💬 Got to ask what your favourite Herb is? - The love it or hate it Coriander! Closely followed by Basil Sweet!
